March 17, Cairns

So, a friend and I met at Eben G. Fine Park after work to run up the Boulder Canyon on this fine 68 degrees day. I got there a tad early and discovered photo op heaven--someone (Has Andy Goldsworthy been hanging out here?) had built many, many cairns (or carns, as they refer to them in Ireland) on the Boulder Creek. Lucky me!

    Good picture! Thinking back and looking at this, two things: 1) someone has A LOT of time on their hands and 2) they are really good at balancing rocks. Look at some of the towers!
